Terms and Conditions for The Lab Gym

By using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services.
1. Membership Agreement
1.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent if under 18) to join The Lab Gym. By joining, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements.
1.2 Registration: To become a member, you must complete a membership registration form, provide accurate personal information, and sign a membership agreement. Your membership is not activated until we receive payment in full for your chosen membership plan.
1.3 Membership Options: We offer a range of membership plans. Details of available memberships, including pricing, duration, and benefits, are available on our website or at the gym. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in these Terms.
2. Payment and Fees
2.1 Payment Terms: All membership fees are due in advance, either as a one-time payment or on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.), as specified at the time of registration. Payments can be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other accepted methods.
2.2 Late Fees: If a payment is not made by the due date, a late fee may be applied, and your membership may be suspended until payment is received.
2.3 Refund Policy: Membership fees are generally non-refundable. Exceptions may apply under specific circumstances, such as gym closure, illness, or other extraordinary events. Please refer to our refund policy for more details.
3. Membership Cancellation and Suspension
3.1 Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time by providing written notice to The Lab Gym. Cancellation terms, including any applicable notice periods or fees, are outlined in your membership agreement.
3.2 Suspension: If you wish to temporarily suspend your membership (e.g., due to illness or travel), you may request a suspension. We will review your request and inform you of the terms.
3.3 Failure to Comply: If your membership is suspended or canceled due to a breach of these terms (e.g., non-payment, inappropriate behavior), you may be charged a reactivation fee, and you will not be entitled to any refunds.
4. Gym Use
4.1 Access to Facilities: Your membership entitles you to use the gym facilities during our regular operating hours, subject to availability and any rules or restrictions that may apply (e.g., booking for classes or peak time restrictions).
4.2 Rules of Conduct: Members are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and other members. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior (e.g., harassment, excessive noise, or vandalism) may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership.
4.3 Health and Safety: By using the gym, you acknowledge that you are physically fit and able to participate in physical activities. You agree to notify us of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your ability to exercise safely. We may require a medical clearance if necessary.
4.4 Personal Belongings: The Lab Gym is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the gym. We recommend that you do not leave valuables unattended.
4.5 Equipment Use: Members must follow instructions for the use of gym equipment and return all equipment to its proper place after use. Any damage to gym property must be reported immediately.
5. Liability and Waiver
6.1 Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with physical exercise and participation in fitness activities. You voluntarily assume all risks and responsibilities for your own health and safety.
6.2 Waiver of Liability: By using our facilities and services, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless The Lab Gym, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any liability for injury, illness, or damages arising from your use of the gym.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Personal Information: We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By becoming a member, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for membership management, marketing, and other purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Photography and Video: We may take photos or videos at the gym for promotional purposes. By entering the premises, you consent to being photographed or filmed unless you notify us otherwise.
7. Amendments to Terms
8.1 Changes to Terms: The Lab Gym reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to members through email or posted on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes to these terms.
8. Governing Law
9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hertfordshire, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hemel.
